A Brief History in Pink

Dancing, They were dancing… -- Robert Hass

Pink as a triangle in Dachau, Pink as a 5K ribbon,    Pink as a tongue plunged into soft serve swirls,  Pink as a sailor’s sky, Pinked pierced or scalloped by pinking shears,  Pinks as Dianthus plumarius’s nickname their petals pink with pinked edges, Pink with possibility, Pink eye, Pink as Barbie’s signature color and cotton candy’s, and flamingo’s and the roseate spoonbills by the lake which pinks briefly with the coming and going light, and grapefruit though not always  and if there is a way to tell from the outside I don’t know it, Pink as Piglet from Pooh  and BaRamEwe Babe content  with That’ll do pig, that’ll do

Pink as a bubble gum balloon that I never blew, Pinkie rings, Pinky and the Brain, Pink-o Liberal Commie Pink a.k.a. Rose or Salmon because real men still tell me they don’t, Ditto Pink when twice a year the priest dons the prescribed vestments and calls it anything but

Plastic Pink Flamingos, Pink films, Pretty in, The Pink Panther, Pink Narcissus, My Life in Pink,

Pink Floyd, Pink Elephants Pink Cadillacs Pink Albino Eyes, In the Pink, Tickled Pink

We knew you were that way (pink) when you were twelve…

Flaming Pink (as an oft-assertion), Pink like Pepto Bismol, Pink Lady: Gin & Grenadine, Pink Champagne, Pink tutus and ballet toe shoes, Glinda the Good Witch in Pink Tulle, Pink Pencil Erasers and all the undone

Pink Slips, Pink IZODS with their upturned collars, Pink hubs of a hypodermic army, Pink Silence = Pink Death, Pink pistol whipped, tied and left to weather starlight, Trans Pink shot, stabbed, pummeled

Pink Teens / Pink suicides, Dancing Pink, Scarlet Pink, Pink as a triangle, Euclidian: Right, Oblique, Acute, Obtuse, Degenerate, a vector. In three dimensions there are at least eight geometries, still in the infinite multiverse

 Pinked. Bodies. Fall.
